ABOUT
IAN HOFF
Ian Hoff is a Sebastopol business owner and structural engineer who works to engineer solutions to complex, technical challenges – building blocks that form the foundation of homes, businesses, and structures of all types.
As a multi-year volunteer firefighter with the City of Sebastopol and Gold Ridge Fire Protection District, he’s responded to medical emergencies, structure fires, and other public safety crises – engaging residents at a moment’s notice to preserve life and property.
Working as a volunteer firefighter, Ian appreciated the opportunity to serve Sebastopol as a first responder while recognizing some of the shortcomings of our city in meeting basic needs.
While Ian retired as volunteer firefighter this spring based on structural changes following the City of Sebastopol Fire Department’s merger with the Gold Ridge Fire Protection District, Ian hopes to use his background as a business owner and multi-year volunteer firefighter to further his service to our community as our next Sebastopol City Councilmember.
Ian and his wife, Bethany – an Analy High School science teacher – have lived in Sebastopol for the last decade, and reside near Ives Park. They’re committed to our community, and devote their livelihoods to forging a brighter future for today’s residents and our next generation.
